What is an Audiometry (Hearing) Test?

An audiometry assessment is a non-invasive hearing test that assesses a person's capability to listen to various sounds, pitches, or frequencies.

The evaluation is also used to assess whether hearing aids or surgery may improve one's hearing.

How to reduce noise?

There are various ways of reducing noise and exposure to noise. Initially try to remove the loud noise altogether. If that’s not possible, try to control the noise at its source. Take measures to protect yourself or your employees. (Source: HSE)

Employers have a responsibility to provide health surveillance (hearing tests) for all their employees that may be exposed to noise or are at risk of damage.
